Cautions and Warnings:

For animal use only. Keep out of reach of children. May cause hyperkalemia if used in excess. Frequent monitoring is recommended. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal irritation, muscular weakness, twitching, irritability, and cardiac conduction disturbances. Potassium salts are contraindicated in animals with hyperkalemia, severe renal impairment or failure, severe hemolytic reactions, Addison's disease, decreased gastrointestinal motility, and acute dehydration. Use with caution in animals receiving digoxin, potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, or NSAIDs. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
