Rx Mexiletine, 250mg, 100 Capsules
Mexiletine is a class 1B sodium channel blocker and anti-arrhythmic medication used to treat chronic ventricular arrhythmias in dogs. With a mechanism of action similar to lidocaine, Mexiletine works by stabilizing the electrical activity of the heart, preventing abnormal heart rhythms. It is effective in treating conditions like PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) and ventricular tachycardia. If a pet responds well to lidocaine during an acute episode, Mexiletine is likely to be effective in managing their condition. Mexiletine can also be used to treat inherited cardiomyopathy in Boxers and dilated cardiomyopathy in Doberman Pinschers.
