Early Rider Big Foot 12" Kids Balance Bike 2-4 Years | Violet Haze

A statement of intent! The Early Rider Big Foot is built for the rough stuff from day one. An off road balance bike with knobbly balloon tyres that will soak up the roots, the rocks and even those early jumps. Stable low slung geometry ensures a stable confidence inspiring ride and the starting standover height is just 31cm. Weight is a surprising low 3.75Kg.

Early Rider utilise quality parts throughout to ensure your child can focus on the trail ahead. Big pneumatic Vee Crown Gem 2.25" tyres provide sure footed grip and can soak up some serious bumps and jumps. Perfectly scaled geometry gets kids riding quickly and confidently and the beautiful Violet Haze painted aluminium frame keeps the tubing and welds on display. Sealed cartridge bearing hubs ensure weather protection and reliable low friction rolling in all conditions. Reassuring Ritchey bar and stem and a familiar height adjustable seatpost. The Big Foot includes a Tektro rear brake, scaled for little kids, with short reach and light pull for those moments where they overshoot things or just throwing some rear skids.

We trust Early Rider balance bikes to get your children riding because they're what our children learnt to ride on. Every trip to the park or family walk soon becomes a new riding adventure. Push push... glide and skid to a stop. The fit for purpose design and quality components ensure children can make the most of every ride. Hone skills, gain confidence and most importantly, have fun.

Learning to ride without "learning" to ride. Early Rider are one of the pioneers of the balance bike movement, now widely accepted as the best way to teach children to ride a bike before they're ready for a pedal bike.

About Early Rider: Founded in 2005 by Andy Loveland who built the first Early Rider wooden balance bike in his shed. Since then Early Rider have been dedicated to getting children out riding bikes and connecting with their surroundings. They believe riding bikes shouldn't be a milestone or simply a means to get from A to B but a vehicle for adventure, a reason to shun screen time and inactivity. The kids bike industry is full of marketing waffle, genderisation, baskets, tassels, cartoon characters. Early Rider reject this path simply building awesome bikes.... in kids sizes. Motivation is precious when it comes to children, in making bikes fit for purpose, age appropriate and fit for the environments children will be riding in Early Rider aim to inspire confidence at every stage. There's no better way to connect with the world around us than to get riding a bike.
